After graduating from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania (Bachelor of Science, cum laude) and Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, I became a member of both the New York State Bar and State Bar of California and commenced a career focusing on transactional entertainment, intellectual property, corporate and general business/commercial law.
I started my own practice in 2001, providing legal, business affairs and consulting services to individuals and entities engaged in creative endeavors primarily in the fields of music, film, television, performing arts, publishing, advertising, marketing, fashion and photography.
Throughout my career, I have represented a wide variety of clients in a broad spectrum of sophisticated transactions, both on the talent and company sides. Additionally, I also maintain a longstanding professional relationship with a Fortune 100 financial services company for which I handle advertising, marketing, brand, sponsorship and media transactions and compliance.
I seek to establish relationships with my clients whereby I may continue to grow with them throughout their respective careers while providing industry-specific legal advice and career direction. My role is to assist with maximizing my clients’ professional satisfaction and revenue streams while minimizing their stress levels, thereby enabling them to focus on practicing their crafts and running their businesses. Further, through my active use of the latest communication and information technologies available, I am able to provide accessible, time-efficient and cost-effective service to my clients.
Having practiced law in both New York and California, I possess unique experience in dealing with members of the legal, entertainment, media and business communities on both coasts and points in between. As a result, I have cultivated a significant number of relationships with various professionals which allow me to enhance the exposure of my clients and yield them increased opportunities.
